Introduction

What are you going to do 

This is an opportunity to play a key role in developing the construction strategy and planning for a major project involving bulk and detailed earthworks, HDPE lining and underground drainage.

The initial engagement is for 5 months, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and project requirements.

Working as part of an experienced ECI team, you'll be responsible for developing the planning and scheduling strategy while working closely with estimators, quantity surveyors and other members of the project team.

You'll be involved in:

  • Developing construction methodologies and planning strategies

  • Preparing detailed Level 4 project schedules

  • Producing resource-loaded schedules for major bulk earthworks

  • Working closely with estimators and quantity surveyors

  • Resourcing and levelling schedule activities

  • Ensuring schedules align with project cost estimates and budgets

  • Developing S-curves, manning histograms and cash flow forecasts

  • Undertaking scenario planning and schedule optimisation

  • Supporting ECI submissions and tender documentation

  • Preparing planning reports and schedule information for management

  • Assisting with overall project resourcing and delivery planning

Essential skills and knowledge 

We're looking for a Senior Planner who can hit the ground running and has strong experience in major construction, civil infrastructure, resources or similar environments

  • Highly skilled in Primavera P6

  • Proven experience producing large, resource-loaded bulk earthworks schedules

  • Experience working across tenders and ECI environments

  • Strong experience working alongside estimators and quantity surveyors

  • Experience resourcing schedule activities and levelling resources

  • Strong understanding of aligning schedules with cost budgets and cost control

  • Experience producing S-curves, manning histograms and cash flow curves

  • Strong scenario planning and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
