Introduction

What are you going to do 

We are looking for an experienced Pipeline Construction Engineer to manage and supervise pipeline construction activities. The candidate will ensure that work is completed as per project requirements, quality standards, safety rules, and agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise pipeline construction and installation activities at the project site.
  • Plan daily work activities and monitor project progress.
  • Review pipeline drawings, construction plans, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and inspection teams.
  • Monitor pipeline laying, welding, jointing, and related construction work.
  • Ensure construction activities follow approved procedures and project specifications.
  • Coordinate inspections and testing activities as per project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.
  • Identify site issues and coordinate with the concerned teams to resolve them.
  • Monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site records.
  • Support project completion activities and ensure work is completed within the planned schedule.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 7-15 years of experience in pipeline construction, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Hands-on experience in pipeline installation, laying, welding, and site supervision.
  • Experience in coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and follow construction procedures.
  • Knowledge of pipeline quality requirements, inspection, testing, and HSE standards.
  • Experience in monitoring site progress, managing manpower, and resolving construction-related issues.
  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Experience in onshore or offshore pipeline projects will be an advantage, depending on project requirements.
