Introduction

What are you going to do 

We are partnering with our client, a leading organization in the Oil and Gas sector, who is seeking a Permit to Work Coordinator on a contract basis. In this pivotal role, you will be central to ensuring safe, compliant operations across complex projects, working closely with multiple stakeholders to maintain rigorous HSE and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all HSE prevention/mitigation measures are implemented as required by the PTW, complying with HSE standards.
  • Ensure compliance to Product Line Standards/Procedures.
  • Coordinate SIMOPs (internal and external) PTW.
  • PTW regulatory compliance.

Construction Phase:

  • Supervise the PTW application for Construction under OPF execution scope
  • Approve PTW, as applicable, in coordination with Construction Manager the Construction PTW
  • Manage SIMOPs PTW coordination on the site when intersecting with activities under OPF responsibility, with 3d parties (incl. Client and Client Sub-Suppliers)
  • Audit work sites before, during and at closure for the activities under PTW.
  • Ensure Construction Suppliers have trained their personnel on their PTW roles and responsibilities

Commissioning and O&M Phase:

  • Manages the review and issue of permits for non-routine and high-risk operations, maintenance and construction activities, after obtaining relevant approvals.
  • Coordinates with various permit holders/ permit applicants for the effective management of SIMOPS activities.
  • Maintains and updates register of all plant permits including the isolation status of plant and equipment.
  • Follows up with relevant permit holders to ensure proper permit life cycle management upon completion or suspension of the job.
  • Ensures Permits have the required signatures and supplementary certificates affixed and isolations in place before being issued.
  • Ensures Company PTW or client PTW procedure is strictly adhered to (relevant to all phases).
  • The PTW coordinator may take the role of HSE Site Supervisor for PTW related tasks: Sign off Preparation / Isolation Permit(s) and Sign off Pre-Job verification Forms.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 7+ years Industry experience.
  • Prior work experience in Production Facility Projects.
  • Prior experience in Permit to Work coordination as a Coordinator or Authority.
  • Prior experience in HSE / Operations Integrity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Process Equipment.
  • Field Operations experience (preferably in the OPF Segment).
  • Familiarity with Management Systems.
  • Good Team Communication.
  • Good networking throughout the appropriate level organization.
