Introduction

The Packaging Inspector is responsible for ensuring all packaging materials and finished products meet Company's quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves hands-on inspection, accurate documentation, and close collaboration with QA, production, and warehouse teams to maintain product integrity and support continuous improvement across packaging operations.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Quality Control

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of packaging materials (bottles, cartons, lids, pails, caps).

  • Perform checks according to mockup approvals provided by QA Analysts.

  • Inspect inbound packaging samples using precision tools such as JIG, waterpass, scales, height gauge, caliper, and pressure testing equipment (if required).

  • Verify packaging specifications against product standards and batch records.

  • Participate in trial runs for new packaging materials (e.g., PCR bottles) together with QA Analysts.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality logs.

  • Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause analysis.

  • Support documentation for traceability and batch release.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure packaging inspection and processes comply with Company internal standards, ISO requirements, and local regulations.

  • Participate in internal audits and support external inspections.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and QA teams to address packaging-related issues.

  • Recommend process improvements for better quality and efficiency.

  • Participate in QA and safety training programs.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Min. education of Vocational School (SMK) or Professional Diploma.
  • 3-5 years experience in packaging, quality inspection, or production-preferably in lubricants, FMCG, or manufacturing industries.
  • Skilled in using inspection tools (JIG, caliper, height gauge, scales).
  • Detail-oriented with good knowledge of packaging specs and quality standards.
  • Communicative, hands-on, and proactive in solving packaging issues.
  • Responsible, disciplined, and eager to learn.
