Introduction

Brunel is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Support Lead for a major power generation facility in Queensland. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring safe, efficient day-to-day operations and maintenance of the station and associated equipment.

What are you going to do

Support the Station Manager and backfill during leave periods.
Lead weekly and monthly planning meetings.
Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
Monitor and troubleshoot gas turbine operations.
Manage contractors and liaise with external stakeholders.
Drive HSSE compliance and risk management processes.
Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
Oversee SAP functions, inventory, and procurement.

Essential skills and knowledge

Experience in operating or maintaining gas turbines and auxiliary equipment in a leadership role.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and deliver commercially sound outcomes.
Knowledge of maintenance planning and CMMS platforms.
Electrical trade or industrial/generation experience (I&C qualification desirable).
Relevant licenses and certifications (e.g., CPR/LV Rescue, confined space, forklift).
