Introduction

This role reports into the Managing Director and takes ownership of the NSW business. The focus is on establishing a stronger local presence, growing the existing team, and overseeing project delivery across the state. Currently, parts of the operation are supported by interstate teams, so there's a need for someone on the ground to lead, build relationships, and drive performance locally.

What are you going to do

Take ownership of the NSW business across operations, performance, and growth
Lead project teams to ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and to standard
Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and delivery partners
Oversee financial performance including budgets, forecasting, and cost control
Contribute to tenders, strategy, and risk management for upcoming work
Grow and develop the NSW team, including hiring and mentoring
Act as the local face of the business across clients and industry stakeholders
Maintain oversight of safety, quality, and compliance across all projects

Essential skills and knowledge

Background in civil or utilities construction (water or trenchless preferred)
Experience in a senior role overseeing multiple projects or teams
Strong understanding of the NSW market and key clients
Commercial awareness across contracts, budgets, and risk
Ability to build relationships and support winning work
Could suit someone stepping up from a senior operations or delivery role
