Introduction

On behalf of our client, a tier 1 mining operator, we are recruiting for a Mine Surveyor for a short term assignment. The engagement will be for approximately 6 months and will be working a week on, week off roster.

What are you going to do

Conduct accurate mine and engineering surveys to support safe and efficient operations
Mark-up and set out drill patterns, blast designs, and mining infrastructure
Maintain and update survey data, plans, and models using mine planning software
Perform volume calculations, reconciliation, and progress reporting
Ensure compliance with statutory survey requirements and site standards
Provide survey support to mining, engineering, and geology teams
Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration and accuracy
Adhere to site safety systems and promote a strong safety culture

Essential skills and knowledge

Tertiary qualification in Surveying or equivalent
Previous experience as a Mine Surveyor in an open pit environment
Strong working knowledge of survey equipment (GPS, total stations, drones - where applicable)
Experience with mine planning and survey software (e.g. Deswik, Surpac, Vulcan or similar)
Solid understanding of WA mining regulations and safety standards
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to commit to a 7/7 FIFO roster for the duration of the contract
