Introduction

  • Major Projects involve the development of new offshore platforms bridge linked to the existing facilities, installation of subsea pipelines, debottlenecking of surface facilities, and replacement of existing FSOs. All these activities could be executed across several international sites. Projects will require complex interfaces with other entities.
  • Define, develop, implement, maintain and control of all necessary means and documents related to the internal MP FOPS organization.
  • Liaise closely with the PCM team to forecast and manage resource requirements (personnel and financial planning).
  • Responsible for maintaining the Operating Rhythm of the entity through weekly and monthly forums.
  • MP FOPS progress monitoring & reporting through the definition of KPI’s from each department.
  • Interface management within all teams in MP FOPS, with MP projects, entities, and external parties to provide support to Projects / Packages as required.
  • Support MP projects for planning, organizing, execution and control of all FOPS activities throughout the project till handover to Operations Entity.

What are you going to do 

  • Ensure development of FOPS method statements, processes and procedures, work instructions, templates, check lists, etc.; ensure consistent utilization of them across all projects.
  • Review the current FOPS activities and business processes within MP FOPS Entity and departments in order to identify areas of optimization and improvement.
  • Ensure development of FOPS Benchmark multidiscipline database by retrieving project key data at various phases of projects.
  • Ensure identification and capturing FOPS lesson learnt throughout the project execution and capitalization of them across all new MP Projects.
  • Assist in preparation of FOPS team organization chart, job description, training matrix, work allocation matrix, etc.
  • Monitor FOPS technical performance across the MP Projects; identify areas of vigilance/ area of concern and propose the way-forward.
  • Assist in performing audit within MP FOPS Team and across all projects to ensure compliance with MP FOPS processes/procedures.
  • Assist in performing FOPS audits for Contractor(s) at various stages of project including CFT& CTR qualification, design, construction support and close out phases.
  • Define KPIs with leaders of all teams in MP FOPS and Assist to monitor overall progress of Operations, Commissioning, MIE and SIMOPS for each package.
  • Develop dashboards for each team in MP FOPS and global dashboard for FOPS Manager.
  • Coordinate with other teams of MP such as Workforce team for the manpower resources, Cost team for Closure Forecast and investment budget to maintain the operation performance of FOPS team.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly steering data/report, detailing overall progress across schedule, risks, changes, technical issues and resources to ensure accurate information is available to support decision making and opportunities.
  • Attend and prepare MOM for weekly and monthly FOPS management meeting with the Leaders of Operations, MIEC, Commissioning and SIMOPS, to review progress, technical issues.
  • Assist in preparation of ad-hoc report and presentation, FOPS Memo, MOM, Shareholder reports, etc.
  • Assist in development of MP FOPS Risk Register at management level, ensure risks and associated mitigations are captured and progressed.
  • Assist in development of MP FOPS Change Register at management level, ensure changes are captured and are communicated within FOPS Management and to Project/packages.
  • Assist in development of Value Engineering and Good Practice Register, ensure all information/feedback from projects are captured and communicated.
  • Support MP packages/projects by proving required tools and documents, ensure consistency along all the MP packages/projects.
  • The Job holder must be willing to participate in crisis response training and to assist during emergency response situations if required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, science, computer science or commerce.
  • Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in Methods and Reporting, preferably within Oil & Gas Projects.
  • Language: Fluent English,
  • Computer literate,
  • Good communication skills,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • Good analytical skills,
