Introduction

Brunel is seeking experienced Mechanical Maintainers for a residential role in Dampier, WA. This position offers a structured roster, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work on key fixed plant assets within a safety-focused team environment.

What are you going to do 

We are looking for safety-conscious Mechanical Maintainers to support maintenance operations at Dampier. This is a residential role only (no FIFO) on an initial 6-month contract.

  • Perform preventative, corrective, planned, and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment
  • Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, balanced machines, and car dumpers
  • Conduct routine inspections of plant assets
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and reduce risk and cost
  • Use SAP to record, assign, and complete maintenance tasks
  • Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational work

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Mechanical trade qualification (Engineering/Fitting/Fabrication)
  • Experience with
    • Car dumpers
    • Stackers & reclaimers
    • Ship loaders

Proficiency in:

  • Motor and gearbox maintenance
  • Pulley and bucket wheel changeouts
  • Laser alignment
  • Maintenance inspections

Dogging and rigging experienceWorking at Heights and confined space certification
Valid Manual C-Class Australian driver's licence (HR desirable)
