Introduction

  • Provides pre-commissioning and commissioning organization, coordination and execution support to the EPC-1 Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Division Manager and Areas Heads of Commissioning.
  • Focal point for Mechanical Energy Isolation to carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in adherence to project procedures and safety standards.

What are you going to do 

  • Provides pre-commissioning and commissioning planning, coordination and execution leadership to the EPC project management team, with close coordination with the heads of pre-commissioning and commissioning and systems owners.
  • Coordinate with PTW Coordinator and review technical documents which requires Energy Isolation before issuance of PTW.
  • Identify isolation points and confirm that all requirements for positive isolation (i.e., Blinding, Disconnection, LOTO) are in place. Responsible focal point for Energy Isolation in assigned area.
  • Ensure close coordination for the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities by the EPC Contractor, for Mechanical Energy Isolation.
  • LOTO requirements for equipment/system in accordance with Project Isolation Philosophy, Job method statements. JSA, Risk Assessment or if any specific procedures available based on the task.
  • Review and scrutinize all the Mechanical Energy Isolation certificates/LOTO signed and issued by Contractor and its Subcontractors prior approval of PTW for Pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Ensure Mechanical Energy Isolation Certificate/LOTO are properly signed, closed, and returned by Contractor and its Subcontractors before Main PTW close and De-Isolation of any Equipment/System.
  • Ensure LOTO register are maintained and track live battery limit isolation, extended period of isolation requirement, and isolation at RFSU.
  • Co-ordinates with Contractor/Subcontractor and inter disciplines for SIMOPS activities.
  • Participate weekly coordination meeting conducted by CTJV/Contractor LOTO team.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Project execution related environment within the oil and gas industry with proven experience with pre-commissioning and commissioning preparation and execution.
  • Experience on large oil and gas or LNG complex, fast track green field projects with multiple EPC Contracts and execution teams, in a multicultural environment.
  • Prior experience in the State of Qatar or the Middle East would be a plus.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills. Arabic speaking would be a plus.
