Responsible for mechanical equipment (static equipment, equipment packages and rotating equipment) engineering activities for Compression Project
Ensuring that mechanical equipment engineering activities comply with project requirements and specification.
Through effective collaboration and management of engineering contractor and LNG stakeholder to ensure on time project delivery.
What are you going to do
Responsible to ensure Contractor deliver a complete mechanical equipment engineering deliverables during execution
Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations.
Responsible to check, review and appraise all mechanical equipment technical documents (specifications, calculation notes, drawings, etc.) developed by Contractor are in compliance with project scopes and requirements and identify potential risks to project if any.
Manage Contractor’s mechanical equipment disciplines resources and to ensure work completion on time.
Monitors / reports actual progress and ensure mechanical equipment engineering are in-line with procurement plan to meet the requirements ofRequired on Site (ROS)
Participate in various project’s workshop such as Equipment Criticality, Hazardous Operations (HAZOP or HAZID etc) reviews
Assists with expectations as required especially Risk Assessment, Facility Design and Construction and Management of Change
Tracking and reporting of lessons learned in defined area of responsibility
Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures
Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills
Well established awareness of policies and procedures with high expectations for business controls compliance and to further develop controls to meet changing needs
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
15+ years of experience in mechanical equipment discipline with at least five years of lead discipline experience in major capital project and offshore project preferably.
Possess knowledge on static equipment, rotating equipment as well as equipment packages design development.
In-depth understanding of various equipment design Codes and Standards
Added advantage if possess past experience with equipment fabricator / manufacturer
Experience with contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from avariety of cultural backgrounds
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
