We are seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent (Engineer) with a strong background in FSRU, and FLNG operations, conversion projects, and vessel machinery management. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, extensive shipyard exposure, and a proven track record supporting safe and reliable vessel operations in the marine and offshore LNG sectors.
- Oversee the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of LNG carriers, FSRUs, and FLNG units.
- Monitor and manage vessel machinery performance, including propulsion, power generation, cargo handling, and auxiliary systems.
- Conduct technical inspections, condition assessments, and root‑cause analysis of machinery failures.
- Review planned maintenance systems and ensure alignment with class, flag state, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide engineering guidance to onboard teams, ensuring proper maintenance, troubleshooting, and defect rectification.
- Analyse equipment issues and recommend technical solutions, upgrades, or preventive measures.
- Support dry-docking, repair planning, and yard coordination, ensuring quality execution and adherence to specifications.
- Contribute technical expertise to FSRU conversions, LNG retrofits, and FLNG upgrade projects.
- Liaise with shipyards during engineering, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Participate in project reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation approval.
- Ensure vessel compliance with STCW, IMO, class rules, and company SMS requirements.
- Prepare vessels for audits, PSC inspections, and class surveys.
- Review and update technical procedures, maintenance standards, and operational guidelines.
- Work closely with vessel crew, operations teams, vendors, and shipyards to address technical challenges.
- Provide mentoring and technical support to chief engineers and engineering crew.
- Coordinate with procurement on spare parts, repairs, and vendor selection.
- Marine Engineer Class 1 (Motor) – Chief Engineer Certificate (STCW compliant and renewed 2022)
- Relevant safety, inspection, or project management certifications (advantage)
- Degree or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering (or equivalent professional marine engineering qualification)
Professional Experience
- 15–20+ years of experience in marine engineering across LNG, offshore, or engine room operations.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- LNGC/FSRU/FLNG operations
- LNG Carrier – FSRU conversions
- Shipyard supervision & commissioning
- Offshore drilling rig maintenance and operations
- Mechanical, propulsion, and piping systems
- Experience in multinational shipyards is highly advantageous.
