The role supports detailed engineering for FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) and FPU (Floating Production Unit) facilities, focusing on marine process systems and associated packages for offshore gas development.
- Lead marine process engineering activities for FPSO and FPU topsides and hull systems.
- Develop and review detailed engineering deliverables: PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure integration of marine process packages (e.g., seawater treatment, ballast systems, bilge systems, HVAC, and utility systems) with FPSO/FPU design.
- Perform process simulations and calculations for marine systems to optimise performance and safety.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, naval architecture) to ensure compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical input during vendor selection, package engineering, and FAT/SAT activities.
- Support HAZOP, HAZID, and other safety reviews for marine process systems.
- Liaise with client and classification societies to ensure adherence to international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, IMO).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in marine process engineering for offshore oil & gas projects, with at least 5 years in FPSO/FPU detailed engineering.
- Proven expertise in marine utility systems and packages (seawater, ballast, bilge, HVAC, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
- Familiarity with international standards regulatory requirements for offshore projects.
- Experience in vendor management and package integration.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing engineering teams and interfacing with stakeholders.
