Introduction

Our client is a growing manufacturer making significant investments in automation, controls, robotics, and manufacturing technology. They are seeking a Manufacturing Automation Specialist to support automation projects, equipment commissioning, control system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across their production operations.

What are you going to do

Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems
Support commissioning, startup, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment
Diagnose and resolve controls, instrumentation, and automation issues
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives
Support automation projects from design through implementation
Modify and enhance existing control systems
Interpret electrical drawings and controls documentation
Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and system integrations
Support automation projects across multiple manufacturing locations

Essential skills and knowledge

3+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or manufacturing engineering
Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC platforms
Strong Ladder Logic programming skills
Experience commissioning and troubleshooting industrial automation systems
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work onsite in the Lower Main Land

Preferred

Beckhoff / TwinCAT experience
HMI development and support experience
Robotics exposure
Food, beverage, packaging, or consumer goods manufacturing experience
Industrial networking knowledge
AutoCAD Electrical experience
Multi-site manufacturing support experience
