Introduction

An exceptional career opportunity awaits at a vibrant shipyard in Taizhou, Jiangsu, as we seek a proficient LNG Fuel Gas Lead Supervisor. This role is pivotal in the new construction of ten 24,000 TEU capacity LNG Dual Fuel container vessels.

Duration: 12 Months (renewable up to 3 years)

What are you going to do 

  • Compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and adherence to international standards and regulations.
  • Leadership and management of the LNG Fuel Gas supervisor team during peak project periods.
  • Organization and distribution of machinery inspections both inside and outside the yard.
  • Maintenance of construction standards per building specifications, approved drawings, and applicable rules.
  • Anticipation and resolution of potential technical or construction issues through proactive meetings.
  • Technical advisory to team members and effective problem-solving with yard representatives and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring timely completion of weekly and monthly reports and preparation of vessels pre-delivery.
  • Involvement in various stages including inspections, trials, testing, and commissioning activities.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Machinery or CHS supervisor for LNG carriers or as a fuel ship's owner in an international environment.
  • Prior experience as either Second Engineer (2/E) or Chief Engineer (C/E) on Gas Carriers or LNG DF vessels is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of shipyard new construction supervision and comprehensive knowledge of whole ship systems with a focus on LNG CHS
