Introduction

Brunel is seeking a reliable and experienced Junior Transportation Support Coordinator to support a large-scale people transportation network in Kitimat, British Columbia. The successful candidate will bring strong computer and data management skills, along with experience in commercial transportation, fleet management, or dispatch operations.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate passenger movement operations, including scheduling, cost management, record-keeping, and dashboard reporting.
  • Support passenger transportation between the project site, Terrace, Terrace Airport, and designated park-and-ride locations.
  • Coordinate on-site and in-town shuttle services.
  • Work with transportation contractors and participate in field engagement activities.
  • Support site traffic planning and off-site parking infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, management, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support fleet maintenance activities, including repositioning vehicles when required.
  • Deliver timely and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of safe-driving programs for personnel.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • More than five years of experience in fleet management, commercial transportation, or dispatch operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Power BI experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence or higher.
  • Air brake endorsement is considered an asset.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
