Introduction

Brunel is currently seeking an experienced Quay / Jetty / Wharf Supervisor to support a major offshore development project.

Location: Onshore - Paramaribo, Suriname

Contract: 3-year contract

Rotation: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off (7 days/week, 8 hours/day)

What are you going to do 

This role will be responsible for coordinating and managing all quay, jetty, and wharf operations at the logistics base, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of personnel, equipment, and materials in support of drilling, development, production, and exploration activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all quay, jetty, and wharf operations supporting the Block 58 Development Program.
  • Act as the focal point for all vessel movements and logistics activities within the assigned operational scope.
  • Support offshore operations involving drillships, platform supply vessels (PSVs), anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS), installation vessels, and other marine assets.
  • Interface with third-party contractors operating at the logistics base, including tubular yard operators, well services providers, SPS package contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Authorized Person for Lifting Operations (APLO) to ensure personnel competency, training, and compliance with lifting and handling requirements.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant logistics operations while supporting project delivery objectives.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree (required).
  • Experience in the oil & gas industry with hands-on experience in quay, jetty, or wharf operations.
  • Strong knowledge of lifting, handling, storage, pipe yard, trucking, and warehouse operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP (MM module) and Kabal software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • French and/or Dutch language skills are considered an advantage.
