Introduction

Brunel International is looking for an experienced IST Leader to join our team in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation of the IST strategy, oversee and manage all aspects of an organization's information technology infrastructure and services on site. Lead a team of IT & Telecom professionals and work closely with other entities on site to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's technology systems and applications.

What are you going to do 

The IST Leader will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Information Technology Infrastructure and services on site up in PNG. This includes developing and executing a plan to ensure that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading a team of IT & Telecom professionals and work closely with other entities on site to ensure thesmooth operation of the organization's technology systems and applications. Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for IT and Telecom operations to ensure that all IT systems and processes are well-documented, repeatable, and measurable. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that all personnel adhere to company policies and procedures.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications. A strong technical background in IT and Telecom infrastructure, including experience in network administration, server management, Windows environment (O365) and security.
  • Proven track record of successful project management
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively manage stakeholders
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and regulations
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
