Introduction

Brunel International is seeking skilled Intermediate to Advanced Riggers for a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) opportunity at a leading goldmine site in Papua New Guinea (PNG). This role offers a challenging and rewarding environment for experienced riggers who are ready to contribute their expertise to a dynamic mining fixed plant operation.

What are you going to do 

As an Intermediate to Advanced Rigger, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient rigging of equipment and machinery essential to mining operations. You will work closely with the site maintenance and operations teams to ensure all lifting and rigging activities comply with industry safety standards and site procedures. This FIFO role will require you to operate in a remote environment, demonstrating flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to safety.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Intermediate to Advanced Rigger, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sectors
  • Current relevant rigging certifications and tickets as per Australian and PNG safety standards
  • Experience working FIFO on remote mine sites is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and safe lifting practices
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, plans, and drawings
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding outdoor conditions
  • Willingness to work on a FIFO roster to a PNG goldmine site
