Introduction

Join a leading LNG operation as an Instrument Engineer providing frontline engineering support across critical plant instrumentation, control valves, analysers and Fire & Gas systems. Working on a 14/14 FIFO roster, you'll be part of a highly experienced operations and engineering team focused on plant reliability, technical integrity and continuous improvement in a complex operating environment.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide frontline engineering support for instrumentation, control valves, analysers and Fire & Gas systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and deliver practical solutions to improve plant reliability.
  • Lead and support root cause investigations into instrumentation failures and operational incidents.
  • Manage equipment modifications and upgrades through Management of Change (MoC) processes.
  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Reliability teams to optimise asset performance.
  • Support turnaround, shutdown and startup readiness activities.
  • Ensure instrumentation and safety systems meet technical integrity and compliance requirements

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree qualified in Instrumentation, Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.
  • Experience supporting instrumentation systems within LNG, oil & gas, refining, petrochemical or other complex process industries.
  • Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control valves, analysers and Fire & Gas systems.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting, failure investigations and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards including IEC 61511 and IEC 61508.
  • Experience working within Management of Change (MoC) frameworks.
  • Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions in a site-based operational environment.
