Introduction

  • The Incident Control Engineer will be responsible for managing and mitigating incidents that occur within the refinery plant.
  • They will work closely with the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) team to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

What are you going to do 

  • Review of initial incident in incident management system (SAP).
  • Co-ordination with respective department to initiate incident investigation terms of reference (TOR)
  • Co-ordinate or participate in investigation process (Participation in detail investigation for significant incident).
  • Review the summary analysis. (SAP).
  • Verify the corrective action with evidences (SAP).
  • Closures of the incident. (SAP).
  • Develop and implement incident management protocols and emergency response strategies.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during incident response and recovery operations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on incident prevention and control measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with Diploma in Industrial Safety Management or equivalent from recognized body & NEBOSH Certificate.
  • 12 to 15 years in Oil & Gas projects including construction, pre-com, commissioning, startup and process activities. Excellent analytical skills for different incident types/ classifications and hands on experience in incident investigation process etc.
