Introduction

Brunel is currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist for a leading global pharmaceutical organization in St-Laurent, Quebec.

What are you going to do 

  • Support employee onboarding activities and facilitate HR orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and provide guidance and education regarding available offerings.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, programs, and general HR matters.
  • Manage Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) cases in collaboration with external benefits providers.
  • Act as the primary liaison with provincial agencies responsible for workers' compensation and workplace safety programs.
  • Partner with the HR Connect team to monitor and resolve employee cases, answer inquiries, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintain HR Connect portal content and support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage the HR inbox and assist with employee communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, including invoice processing and payment administration.
  • Support HR projects, programs, reporting activities, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Specialist, or similar HR support role.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms, preferably Workday.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, labour standards, and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting disability management, workers' compensation, or benefits administration.
  • Experience working in a large corporate or multinational environment.
