Introduction

  • Monitoring of all related activities within project(s) site(s) and conducting regular inspection and ensuring the work being carried out is in line with approved JSA, Risk Assessment, Method statement and approved Permit to Work System as well as latest instructions.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing risk reduction measures in all areas and phases of construction.
  • To assist in checking and reviewing work method statement, Job Hazard Analysis, Safety Certification and other related documents submitted by the EPIC contractor.
  • Supervise and coordinates with contractors to achieve the Project Overall Safety goal. Recommends appropriate solutions and proposes changes as necessary.
  • Attends meetings with contractors, sub-contractors and vendors to review HSE progress on weekly or more frequent basis as required. Analyses and addresses critical areas and their prompt solution.

What are you going to do 

  • Having a good leadership, command, control and problem solving, negotiation and data interpretation and compilation skills.
  • Having a marine and navigational knowledge and experience.
  • Inspect and monitor all the portable equipment used at site and certify the healthiness of the equipment.
  • Familiar with Electrical portable equipment colour coding system.
  • Reasonable knowledge about EHV equipment and system.
  • Ability to perform field inspections, survey, review, advice and propose administrative closeout precautions.
  • Ability to work effectively with various personnel and in team with flexibility in work assignment.
  • Ability to improve bad working habits, employee performance, maintains improved performance, follows up actions to solve employee or work-related problems.
  • Ability to assist HSE training of Company and contractor's personnel involved in the project(s).
  • Ability to conduct Safety Inductions and Toolbox talks to Company and Contractor's personnel involved in the project(s).
  • Works and coordinates closely with other Construction Supervisors (Mech. /Inst. / Civil / Elect.) at site.
  • Monitor and ensure that Contractor's HSE Management plan.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Candidate must possess a minimum HNC or equivalent education preferably recognized Safety Course (NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • Candidate should have a minimum of 8 to 10 years overall experience in operational safety requirements, thorough knowledge in safety regulations/procedures, etc.
  • Candidate should have good communication skills and professional approach in dealing with contractors/asset holders and should be in a position to provide constructive support during execution of offshore works.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with EPIC contractor or consultant holding HSE Supervisor position on EHV substations projects.
