Introduction

Seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support major shutdown activities in Yarwun, Gladstone. This role will focus on both planning and execution phases, driving safety outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

What are you going to do 

This role will support major shutdown operations, working closely with the Shutdown Manager to ensure strong HSE performance across all phases of the project.

You will be responsible for managing safety systems, supporting workforce engagement, and ensuring compliance across a high-volume shutdown environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update shutdown-specific HSE procedures and standards
  • Facilitate Level 2 Risk Assessments across all work areas
  • Support Incident and Fatigue Management processes
  • Implement and manage the SLIP program
  • Ensure supplier compliance with HSE Management Plans
  • Conduct audits and provide governance reporting

Essential skills and knowledge 

The ideal candidate will bring strong shutdown experience and the ability to influence safety performance in dynamic, high-pressure environments.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant HSE qualifications (essential)
  • Background in mining or manufacturing environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly across shutdown workforces
  • Ability to educate and influence safety behaviours on-site
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced shutdown environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
