Brunel have once again partnered with a long term civil and industrial build client to assist in the recruitment of a Health & Safety Advisor

What are you going to do 

This is a national business with offices across Australia, they are a leader in their field with a true reputation for a safety first culture.

This role will see the successful applicant working on projects civil and industrial builds such as data centers up to $30M in value.

You will be partnering with an experienced HSE Manager who is big on mentoring and offering career progression, whilst also building effective relationships with site based staff.

Duties & responsibilities:
  • Work with employees/contractors on site to improve workplace health and safety
  • Conduct routine lead-indicator activities, including safety observations and site inspections Convene regular prestart meeting and toolbox talks
  • Liaise with primary contractors and other safety personnel on site and attend safety committee meetings
  • Assess risks and opportunities for continual improvement
  • Manage investigation of workplace incidents, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Provide Injury Management and RTW support for workplace injury events
  • Validation and maintenance of employee qualifications and competencies


Essential skills and knowledge 

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Cert IV in WHS or higher
  • Construction white card
  • Experience in writing SWMS
  • Write and score risk assessments
  • Experience in incident investigations
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Experience within commercial construction, industrial construction and has worked on larger projects before
