Introduction

Brunel International is seeking experienced Fixed Plant Boilermakers and Welders for an exciting FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) opportunity at a goldmine site in Papua New Guinea (PNG). What are you going to do 

As a Fixed Plant Boilermaker/Welder, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fabrication, and repair of fixed plant equipment at the PNG goldmine. Your expertise in welding and boilermaking will ensure the integrity and operational efficiency of critical infrastructure. The position requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to work effectively in a FIFO roster, contributing to the continuous operation of the site's fixed plant facilities.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Boilermaker or Welder in a fixed plant or mining environment
  • Relevant trade qualifications and welding certifications (e.g., AS/NZS 1554)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety, with a current safety ticket (e.g., White Card)
  • Ability to work FIFO roster in remote locations, including PNG
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Physically fit and able to undertake manual labour in challenging environments
