Introduction

A leading energy company is seeking a highly capable Execution Advisor - Gathering to lead the field delivery of upstream gathering infrastructure. This Chinchilla-based position is responsible for ensuring the safe, high-quality execution of HDPE gas and water pipelines, managing contractors, and acting as the Authorised Person for excavation activities.

What are you going to do 

  • Act as the Authorised Person for excavation, ensuring all field works meet site permit and isolation requirements.
  • Coordinate and lead site readiness and field mobilisation, ensuring work areas are controlled and compliant.
  • Oversee the execution of HDPE gathering systems, including pipelines, wellhead connections, and tie-ins.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to Issued for Construction (IFC) specifications and within environmental boundaries.
  • Support safe installation of mechanical connections, hot tap activities, hydrotesting, and backfill.
  • Review and sign off on key documents including Permit to Work (PTW), Ground Disturbance Checklists, and daily field documentation.
  • Monitor and report on construction progress, identify execution risks, and ensure resolution through collaboration with contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE policies and procedures, drive field productivity, and resolve any emerging issues during execution.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Prior experience with gas/water gathering systems and live asset construction
  • Proven ability to lead site-based execution and excavation supervision
  • Working knowledge of PTW, flange management, hot tapping, and hydrotesting
  • Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry (preferred)
  • Excellent safety leadership and contractor management skills
