Introduction

Brunel Energy is working with a major Oil & Gas company located in Midland, TX, looking for an Engineering Technician to work on a 1-year contract basis.

What are you going to do 

Main Functions:

  • Provide Engineering Technical support to the Well Servicing Global Business Unit (GBL) as well as the Permian Business Unit (PBU). Key responsibilities include operational data management and quality control, visualization, and analytics.
  • Drive Wellview reporting consistency and data quality across Well Servicing Global Business Line (GBL)
  • Conduct daily spot checks and work with respective Business Units (BU) and field personnel to address data quality issues
  • Work with individual BUs to address reporting gaps and identify pockets where we need targeted training
  • Support Permian Business Unit (PBU) in specific tracking costs, stewardship vs AFE, and other data analytics needs
  • Standardize where practical reporting structures across the Business Units. Integrate BU reporting and data best practices into the GBL workflow.
  • Assist with developing and managing Spotfire dashboards - interface with development teams or build our own when needed.
  • For example, dig into the Wellview data feeding dashboards that may be displaying erroneous information and understand/resolve the underlying data quality issues.
  • Steward quality and consistency of the GBL SharePoint site
  • Compile of GBL wide data as required (for example for management reviews)

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Needs to have some experience supporting wells operations and demonstrate proficiency in Wellview and Excel.
  • Proficient in data analytics / visualization.
  • Preferred to have working knowledge of Sharepoint and Spotfire.
