Introduction

An Engineer (Maintenance) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of technical systems and equipment across industrial environments.
This role is essential in oil and gas, telecom, and infrastructure sectors, where timely maintenance and system integrity are critical to operations.
The engineer leads troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance efforts, often coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to uphold performance standards.

What are you going to do

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PAGA (Public Address and General Alarm) systems and related field hardware.
Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
Lead field maintenance activities, including system upgrades and modifications.
Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure maintenance schedules align with operational needs.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service reports, and equipment logs.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental standards, and technical specifications

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in maintaining and supporting complex PAGA systems.
Prior experience executing QatarEnergy contracts or equivalent oil and gas projects (onshore and offshore platforms) is highly preferred
Strong understanding of safety procedures, permit systems, and maintenance documentation.
Hands-on experience with PAGA systems such as:
- Federal Signal
- VODEC
- Spectar Lumenex
- GAI-Tronics-Elemec
- Nuemann
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic faults.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance reporting tools
