Introduction

What are you going to do 

We are seeking an experienced E&IC Quality Engineer to support Electrical & Instrumentation quality activities for industrial and semiconductor construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all E&I installations, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and ensure quality compliance for Electrical & Instrumentation construction and installation works.
  • Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Perform quality inspections and audits on E&I installations throughout construction and commissioning phases.
  • Verify compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Witness and document testing activities, including electrical testing, loop checks, functional tests, and commissioning activities.
  • Inspect and verify installation works related to:
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
  • PLC control panels
  • Motor Control Centres (MCC)
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Instrumentation and control systems
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and handover documentation.
  • Support project completion, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in E&I QA/QC, Quality Engineering, or Construction Quality roles.
  • Prior site-based construction experience
  • Experience in either semiconductor, UPW (Ultra Pure Water), UFW (Ultra-Filtration Water), pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or industrial plant projects
  • Strong ability to interpret and review P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with VFDs, PLC systems, MCCs, and instrumentation/control systems.
  • Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and startup activities for E&I systems.
  • Experience preparing and managing quality documentation, inspection records, and NCR processes.
  • Knowledge of Singapore electrical standards and certification requirements.
  • Possession of SS 638 and/or SS 518 (CEPAS) certification
