What are you going to do 

  • Implement the Project Quality Plan and ensure the effective implementation of Contractor's Project Quality Management System and procedures at the Fabrication Yard to ensure that all project activities are compliant with project specifications, including:
  • Implement the Construction Surveillance Program to confirm that all fabrication & Installation activities are compliant with project specifications, including:
  • Reviewing and approving EPC Contractors and Subcontractors Inspection & Test Plans, quality control procedures and testing procedures
  • Implementing quality control over welding processes including monitoring of welding procedure qualifications, qualification of welders, control of welding consumables, surveillance of welding & NDE activity, monitoring welding KPIs and identifying corrective action to remedy poor performance
  • Attending regular meetings with Contractor and subcontractors to monitor progress and review and resolve quality issues arising
  • Managing inspection resources using COMPANY approved Site Inspection Services (SIS) agencies to conduct surveillance inspections.
  • Conducting Flawless Quality training programs and Welding training programs in conjunction with Contractor to eliminate common defects
  • Conducting regular site walk-throughs with fabrication yard management team to highlight quality and safety issues and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure that inspection records are maintained in a database that is aligned with completions management system to ensure a smooth handover to commissioning
  • Implement Deficiency & NCR Management processes to ensure that deficiencies and non-conformances relating to fabrication are identified, recorded, investigated and resolved to maintain compliance with project requirements.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering
  • Additional quality, welding and NDE inspection related qualifications
  • 8 years' experience in offshore Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Experience shall be relevant to installation of offshore structures and pipelines.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
  • Experience in working in large-scale operating Organizations in Operations and projects
  • Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications and tools
  • Knowledge of Industry standards
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry
  • Ability to interact with project management team and Contractors confidently
  • Requires strong analytical, organisational and planning skills
