Introduction

  • Proficient in testing Instrument and control systems, continuity of circuits in instrument wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as HART communicator to ensure compatibility and safety of the systems. Capable of understanding hook up and loop drawings, Cause & Effect charts, P&IDs and Sequence of events (SOE). Responsible for maintenance, inspection and repair of the radio equipment, telecommunication networks and computer networks ensuring those in good working order.
  • Performs shop maintenance including repairs, maintenance of field telecoms to keep telecoms operating at their peak efficiency.
  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering methods, techniques, and procedures for Control Systems, following Company HSE policies.
  • Aid in managing and controlling the performance of Operations Systems & Controls, including DCS, ESD, SCADA, and related equipment.
  • Provide technical support for system integrity and availability, including troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective actions. Participate in system commissioning, pre-commissioning, and project takeovers.
  • Review and assist in evaluating engineering documents from vendors/contractors and participate in technical meetings during project execution.
  • Monitor and review defect reports for Systems & Controls equipment, ensuring timely resolution and effective support for DCS, ESD, SCADA, PLC, and other control systems

What are you going to do 

  • Full working and maintenance knowledge of electrical equipment in hazardous Area zones
  • Good knowledge in in functionality of PLCs, F&G, ESD, DCS systems and field bus technology.
  • Fair knowledge in computer skills, communication skills, meets operations, maintenance and project teams for trouble shooting.
  • Perform the effective engineering support, integrity and availability of all Systems & Control in adherence with Company and relevant international standards being followed within company and appropriate Safety codes to achieve their maximum integrity, availability and efficiency in cost effective manner.
  • Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional system & control requirements and/or difficult coordination requirements.
  • Review of all detail engineering documents of Vendor/ Contractor and attending all technical meetings as focal point from system Management side during contract execution for In house and ED/EM projects.
  • Reviews defect reports for all Systems & Controls equipment within the assigned areas and initiates action as appropriate. Perform and ensures the effective support for DCS, ESD, SCADA, PLC control systems, Heavy Duty Turbine Control Systems, Compressor Control Systems in adherence with company and relevant international Compressor Control Systems in adherence with OP and relevant international standards being followed within company and appropriate Safety codes to achieve their maximum integrity and efficiency in cost effective manner.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Diploma / HND
  • Relevant disciplines certificates
  • 7 year similar experience
  • SAP working experience in any module will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001
