Introduction

We are looking for a Construction Methods Engineer to support the development and implementation of efficient, safe and high-quality construction methodologies across major offshore and energy projects. The role is responsible for applying construction engineering expertise, developing project-specific methodologies and continuously improving construction standards, processes and best practices.

What are you going to do 

  • Develop and implement construction methodologies based on project requirements, materials, site conditions, construction sequences and schedules.
  • Optimise construction methods to improve efficiency, quality, safety and cost effectiveness.
  • Apply constructability principles throughout engineering and project execution.
  • Identify construction challenges and develop practical, technically sound solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise on construction techniques, methods and best practices to project and site teams.
  • Work closely with engineering, construction, commissioning and project teams to integrate construction requirements into project planning and execution.
  • Support the development and improvement of construction standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain records of construction methods, technical changes, outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Share lessons learned to improve future project execution and construction performance.
  • Participate in technical workshops, cross-project analysis, reporting and construction improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure methodologies comply with HSSE, quality, regulatory and process safety requirements.
  • Support construction data analysis, reporting and technical assessments.
  • Contribute to construction and commissioning planning where required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in construction engineering, construction methods or a related industrial/offshore environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, methodologies and execution practices.
  • Experience in construction planning and project execution.
  • Understanding of HSSE, quality, regulatory and process safety requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with relevant engineering, construction management, data analysis or reporting tools.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Experience in offshore, marine, energy, EPC or major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
