Maintaining the reliability and performance of rotating equipment, particularly bearings, by implementing advanced condition monitoring and predictive maintenance strategies. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various diagnostic tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and lubrication analysis to detect early signs of mechanical issues.
Working closely with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams, provide expert insights and recommendations to prevent equipment failures, reduce downtime, and improve overall asset integrity. This role is critical in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring operational excellence within a high-performance manufacturing environment.
Conduct regular condition monitoring activities including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil/lubrication analysis on rotating and static equipment.
Analyze data trends to detect abnormalities, diagnose potential failures, and recommend appropriate corrective actions to prevent unplanned downtime.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve predictive maintenance programs aligned with industry best practices and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
Maintain accurate records and reports of equipment condition, analysis results, and maintenance recommendations.
Collaborate with maintenance, production, and reliability engineering teams to plan timely interventions and optimize equipment performance.
Provide technical guidance and support during root cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations of critical equipment breakdowns.
Support the selection and implementation of advanced monitoring technologies and software tools.
Ensure compliance with internal engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in all monitoring activities.
Deliver training and awareness programs related to condition monitoring practices and reliability engineering for internal stakeholders.
Participate in cross-functional improvement projects focused on asset integrity, operational excellence, and cost reduction.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in vibration analysis and condition monitoring of rotating equipment, preferably in oil & gas, power generation, manufacturing, or other heavy industries.
Valid VCAT Level 2 or 3 (Vibration Certification and Training) certification or equivalent internationally recognized certification (e.g., ISO 18436-2).
Proficient in using condition monitoring tools and software such as vibration analyzers, thermal imaging cameras, ultrasonic detectors, and oil analysis systems.
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret data trends and identify failure modes.
Demonstrated experience in predictive maintenance programs and reliability-based maintenance strategies.
Excellent technical reporting skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards in all aspects of monitoring and maintenance activities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
