Introduction

Brunel has an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Support Lead supporting our client who is a leading mining company.

This contract position will work on-site in Bagdad, Arizona, the working week is Monday through Friday, on a 4-week on-site/1-week at home not working rotational schedule. Travel accommodations, transportation, and a monthly stipend will be included.

What are you going to do

Experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover phases
Familiarity with commissioning software/tools and documentation standards
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to interface with construction, engineering, and operations teams
Experience in remote site work and understanding logistical challenges
Directly supervise first-line or shift supervisors.
Ability to mentor junior staff
Comfortable working in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines
Experience with environmental compliance and regulatory standards
Knowledge of mining-specific safety protocols
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Strong organizational and planning skills

Essential skills and knowledge

Mechanical & Electrical background in construction of industrial facilities.
10+ years of experience in commissioning industrial facilities, preferably in mining or heavy industrial sectors
Strong understanding of process systems including Tailings management systems,
Water treatment technologies (e.g., filtration, reverse osmosis, chemical dosing),
HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems for remote camps

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership ability and strong management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong analytical skills
Ability to multi-task in a high paced project environment
Construction experience with an ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions in a construction environment
