Introduction

We are currently seeking skilled Charge Up Operators to our join clients team based in the Goldfields of Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to work on established mining projects, utilizing your expertise in explosives handling and underground production while benefiting from strong safety culture & career progression pathways.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient handling, transport and storage of explosives and blasting agents.
  • Safe and efficient charging and firing of development faces or production stopes.
  • Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately
  • Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules
  • Help teammates, share knowledge and support a strong crew culture

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Development and production charging experience.
  • ANFO highly desirable.
  • Experience with Normet explosive charging equipment.
  • Ensure compliance and implementation of site blasting and evacuation procedures.
  • Install and/or removal of mine services and ventilation.
  • Valid manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence (Essential).
  • Valid Shotfirers Licence, Dangerous Good Security Card and Working at Heights (Essential).
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR (Essential)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Detailed knowledge of underground mining and safety regulations

Full Australian Working Rights are Required for this role.
