Introduction

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Boilermaker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tradesperson with a background across manufacturing, mining or heavy industry.

Details:

  • Location - Mt Isa, QLD - some remote sites requirements
  • Hours - Monday to Saturday, 8 hour days with ocassional overtime
  • Pay rates - $48-$60/hour + penalties + super

What are you going to do 

Duties:

* Cutting, bending, shaping and welding of various steel sections and plates* Liaise with leading hand, fabrication shop in all aspects of work processes
* Ensure customer requirements are met at all times* Ensure company Quality Assurance requirements are complied with on all work
* Work individually and as part of team to ensure a harmonious workplace* Involvement in training of apprentices to ensure skill methods are transferred onto apprentices

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Australian Trade Qualification - Boilermaking or equivelant
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, mining or heavy industry
  • Previous line boring experience highly regarded
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
