Introduction

Our clinet is looking for a FIFO Automotive Mechanic (LV) for on a 2:1 roster exist from Perth. Responsible for servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown support across Toyota LandCruisers, heavy vehicles, gensets, pumps, trailers, and auxiliary equipment. Work in a remote environment, ensuring fleet reliability, safety, and compliance while supporting critical exploration operations.

What are you going to do 

  • Perform mechanical repairs, servicing, inspections, and diagnostics on LV/HV, mobile plant, and stationary equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance and fault-finding on a predominantly Toyota LandCruiser fleet (approx. 70% LV).
  • Support field operations by completing breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and equipment preparation.
  • Maintain accurate service records in line with OEM requirements.
  • Ensure all work is executed safely, adhering to risk assessments, and JHAs.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, leading hands, exploration teams, and external contractors.
  • Work independently in remote environments or within a small team as required

Essential skills and knowledge 

Experience Required

  • Broad post-trade experience in mechanical repairs, servicing, and fault diagnostics across LV/HV, mobile and stationary equipment.
  • Strong background in workshop

Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to follow safe systems of work and operate competently in remote locations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and digital main
