Introduction

Our clinet is looking for a FIFO Automotive Mechanic (LV) for on a 2:1 roster exist from Perth. Responsible for servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown support across Toyota LandCruisers, heavy vehicles, gensets, pumps, trailers, and auxiliary equipment. Work in a remote environment, ensuring fleet reliability, safety, and compliance while supporting critical exploration operations.

What are you going to do

Perform mechanical repairs, servicing, inspections, and diagnostics on LV/HV, mobile plant, and stationary equipment.
Conduct maintenance and fault-finding on a predominantly Toyota LandCruiser fleet (approx. 70% LV).
Support field operations by completing breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and equipment preparation.
Maintain accurate service records in line with OEM requirements.
Ensure all work is executed safely, adhering to risk assessments, and JHAs.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, leading hands, exploration teams, and external contractors.
Work independently in remote environments or within a small team as required

Essential skills and knowledge

Experience Required

Broad post-trade experience in mechanical repairs, servicing, and fault diagnostics across LV/HV, mobile and stationary equipment.
Strong background in workshop

Skills & Attributes

Ability to follow safe systems of work and operate competently in remote locations.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Self motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and digital main
