Brunel are seeking a Principal Telecommunications Engineer to join a dynamic team on a contract for a global marine vessel specialist. This is a key leadership role within the (Offshore) Oil & Gas sector.

Functieomschrijving

Develop project-specific system designs and associated documentation including philosophies, layouts, specifications, block diagrams, and calculations.
Act as package engineer for Telecom packages, working closely with Supply Chain for technical bid evaluations.
Lead Telecom teams and manage remote teams or Telecom Integrators to deliver high-quality outputs.
Ensure integration of sub-systems and alignment with interfaces across disciplines.
Review subcontractor documents to ensure quality and compliance with regulations, standards, and client requirements.
Stay updated on technological advancements within the offshore/shipbuilding industry.

Vereisten

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 8 years of experience in Telecommunication systems design within the (Offshore) Oil & Gas industry.
Experience with FPSO systems such as VSAT, PAGA, LAN & WIFI & 4G LTE, Navigational equipment, CCTV, UHF/VHF radios, among others.
Proficiency in Telecom design in hazardous areas (e.g., IECEx001).
Leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and creative thinking.
Deep knowledge of telecommunication systems for offshore and marine applications.
