Introduction

On behalf of our client, a Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently recruiting a Senior Planner - Decarbonisation Delivery to support Decarbonisation and Energy infrastructure projects. This will be a contract role up to June 2027 located in the Perth CBD.

About this role

  • Develop and maintain master and detailed project schedules
  • Cost and resource load schedules to support project execution
  • Undertake critical path analysis, milestone tracking and "what-if" scenario planning
  • Develop schedule documentation, including Basis of Schedule reports
  • Ensure schedule integrity through robust logic and planning methodologies
  • Perform schedule health checks and maintain planning standards
  • Apply Earned Value Management principles and analyse CPI and SPI performance
  • Review, assess and integrate contractor schedules into the master program
  • Monitor project trends, productivity and benchmarking metrics
  • Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports
  • Participate in schedule workshops, risk reviews and change management activities
  • Support capital planning and forecasting processes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery

Is this you?

  • Extensive experience in project planning within major projects environments; exposure to IT planning will be well received
  • Proven client-side planning experience across the full project lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies and facilities engineering
  • Advanced Primavera P6 capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and performance reporting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary Project Teams
  • Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering OR Project Controls certification will be highly regarded
