Introduction

This is a key role within the estimating team, responsible for accurately pricing projects, managing tender processes and providing commercial insight to support successful project delivery. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are competitively and accurately priced.

About this role

  • Lead the estimating process across volume residential projects from initial pricing through to tender submission.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, budgets and detailed take-offs.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes and documentation to identify project requirements and potential risks.
  • Obtain, assess and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain accurate trade and supplier cost databases.
  • Analyse project costs and identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and internal teams to ensure accurate project handover.
  • Manage multiple tenders and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Is this you?

We are looking for an experienced estimator who can step into a Senior Estimator position and take ownership of the estimating function.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in residential construction estimating.
  • Previous experience working as a Senior Estimator or in a similar senior-level estimating position.
  • Strong experience across volume residential construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, subcontractor pricing and project costs.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and commercial skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tenders simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to identify risks, challenge pricing and drive efficiencies.
