Introduction

  • The Head of Quality is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan as applied within the home office of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contractor.

About this role

  • The Head of Quality coordinates the implementation of quality systems and procedures and maintains a close working relationship with the Contractor Quality Team.
  • The Head of Quality provides professional expertise for the execution of project work associated with the Trains Restoration Project activities.
  • Establish and maintain the Quality Management System processes, procedures and plans, plan and initiatives to project costs:
  • Ensure activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Quality policies, regulations and engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Implement verification programs to monitor and ensure the quality, integrity and fitness of all goods and services to ensure effective, reliable and safe operations.
  • Manage resolution of quality issues and monitor quality performance and lead the quality team, promoting effective consensus building where appropriate and providing coaching for the optimum performance of managed personnel.
  • Mentor Contractor, Subcontractor's and Vendor's on LNG quality standards, expectations and performance ensuring they are competent and cost effective to provide work and services to project.
  • Prepare and maintain the Project Quality Plan, Surveillance Programs and other quality procedures and tools and ensure their successful implementation across the project.
  • Implements Early Warning Notice to provide notice to Project Management about quality issues and trends with potential to impact delivery of the project.
  • Recruitment of the project QA personnel for site locations and personnel performance management. Provision of Site Inspection Services and Third-Party Inspection resources to project location needs.
  • Implement project audit schedules and integrate participation in the project audit program, monitor audit findings to resolution and closure.
  • Ensures procedures are functional and verify compliance for technical deviations to project specifications and procedures are subject to appropriate review and approval.

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications
  • 10 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
  • Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications, and tools and Industry standards.
