Introduction

Brunel is seeking Cementing Equipment Operators and Trainee Cementing Crew for immediate FIFO opportunities. Working on a 4:4 roster, you will support land-based well construction operations for a leading energy services provider. Suitable for experienced Cementing/Frac personnel and HC/MC licensed candidates from batch plant, bulk transport or heavy industry backgrounds.

About this role

As a Cementing Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for supporting safe, efficient and reliable cementing operations while maintaining equipment and ensuring service delivery standards are achieved.

  • Rig up and rig down cementing equipment at wellsite locations.
  • Support cementing operations in accordance with operational procedures and safety standards.
  • Operate and assist with cement pumps, blenders, liquid additive systems and bulk handling equipment.
  • Assist with operation of data acquisition and density control systems.
  • Participate in pre-job meetings, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Prepare equipment for mobilisation and ongoing operational readiness.
  • Maintain equipment in safe working condition and report faults or defects.
  • Follow all site-specific HSE requirements and company procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance checks and housekeeping activities.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to achieve operational objectives.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and on schedule.

Trainee Opportunities

Candidates with bulk transport, logistics, batch plant, concrete, construction materials or other heavy industrial experience are encouraged to apply.

Successful trainees will work alongside experienced crews and receive on-the-job training across cementing operations and equipment.

  • 4 days on / 4 days off roster.
  • Day and night shifts as required.
  • Physically demanding outdoor work environment.
  • Initial project duration of 3-4 months with potential extensions.
  • Opportunities to transition into future Cementing, Fracturing and Coiled Tubing campaigns based on performance and operational demand.

Is this you?

  • 3-5 years' Cementing or Fracturing experience within land-based oil and gas operations.
  • Experience operating cementing pumps, blending equipment or related well services equipment.
  • Understanding of wellsite safety procedures and operational requirements.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence (LV) required.
  • HC or MC licence highly regarded.
  • Ability to work effectively within a FIFO operational environment.

Trainee Candidates

  • Experience in bulk haulage, bulk transport, concrete batching, quarrying, construction materials, heavy industrial operations or similar industries.
  • Current HC or MC licence preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling activities.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and FIFO rosters.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop a career within the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong safety focus and positive attitude.
  • Reliable and team-oriented approach.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work under supervision.
  • Commitment to maintaining high operational and safety standards.
