As an Electronics UI Engineer, you develop and improve the hardware behind user interaction with complex medical imaging systems. You select and validate electronic components, translate user needs into technical requirements and solve field issues through structured root cause analysis. Your work directly contributes to safe and reliable healthcare technology.

Functieomschrijving

As an Electronics UI Engineer, you will work on the hardware elements that enable healthcare professionals to interact with advanced medical imaging systems. Think of control modules, touchscreens, buttons, encoders and connectivity solutions such as wired communication, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and infrared.

Rather than designing circuit boards yourself, you focus on selecting and integrating the right electronic components, defining requirements and ensuring they perform reliably within a highly regulated medical environment. You work with suppliers and specialists across engineering, quality, verification, purchasing and lifecycle management.

What will you do?

  • Define system, subsystem and component requirements for user-interface hardware.
  • Select, evaluate and integrate electronic components and solutions together with suppliers.
  • Build test setups and perform functional, feasibility and reliability testing.
  • Investigate field issues, perform root cause analyses and translate findings into structural product improvements.
  • Evaluate supplier prototypes and verify that solutions meet technical, usability, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of assigned components while collaborating with multidisciplinary and international engineering teams.

Vereisten

You are a curious and pragmatic Electronics Engineer who enjoys understanding how technology performs in its actual use context. You approach technical problems logically, know how to troubleshoot complex issues and have the perseverance to navigate a large multidisciplinary organization. You communicate easily with different stakeholders and are comfortable taking ownership of your work.

In addition, you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a comparable technical field.
  • Several years of relevant experience in electronics, hardware or system engineering within product development.
  • Experience with electronic components, hardware integration, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical devices, automotive or aerospace.
  • Experience collaborating with external suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

You will work within an international medical technology R&D environment in Best, contributing to sophisticated medical imaging systems used by healthcare professionals worldwide.

You can expect:

  • A gross monthly salary between €3.000 and €5.000, depending on experience.
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • 26 vacation days with the option to purchase additional days.
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities through the Brunel Academy.
