Introductie

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to contribute to high-tech defence systems? In this role, you'll be at the heart of cabinet design projects, ensuring robust electrical integration in mission-critical systems. You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, influencing product quality, safety, and performance.

Functieomschrijving

  • Design and integrate electrical systems: You'll select and integrate components like UPS units, switches, power supplies, and servers into cabinet systems.
  • Ensure EMC and military compliance: You'll take ownership of cable routing, grounding, and EMC shielding, in line with MIL-STD requirements (461, 704, 810).
  • Create and document schematics: Using Eplan, you'll develop electrical schematics, cable harnesses, and connector layouts.
  • Collaborate across disciplines: You'll work closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and test engineers (IVQ) to ensure mechanical compatibility, electrical functionality, and system validation.

Vereisten

You are a problem-solver with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. You're comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment, balancing technical depth with practical execution. You take initiative and work independently while contributing to team goals.

In addition, you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer in complex technical environments.
  • Proven experience with Eplan.
  • Familiarity with military standards (MIL-STD-461, 704, 810) and safety protocols (short-circuit protection, insulation, IP-rating).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate high-level requirements into high-quality designs.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • A valid driver's license is preferred.
