Introduction

Brunel International is looking for a System Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting HP and Cisco UCS servers, storage, and networking equipment, installing and configuring new components, and providing technical support for applications and operating systems used in the IT environment.

About this role

The System Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting HP and Cisco UCS servers, storage, and networking equipment for malfunctions or failures. They will also be responsible for installing and configuring new Cisco UCS servers, storage devices, routers, switches, and other network components. Additionally they will be proficient in enterprise system tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft System Center, ESXi vCenter, SolarWinds Server & Network Monitoring. The successful candidate will also assist with installation and maintaining infrastructure services (CA, DNS, dynamic host configuration protocol), perform regular backups of data to prevent loss in case of computer failure or theft, write scripts to automate common processes within the IT environment , monitor energy usage across the data center to ensure efficient operation , conduct environmental and air quality tests to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

  • Minimum 5+ years Information Technology or Engineering or information Systems experience;
  • Minimum 3+ years of Experience with Enterprise environments (experience administering Datacenter Servers);
  • Minimum 3 + years of experience in HPE systems administration experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems etc.;
  • Data architecture and programming proficiency;
  • Network experience;
  • Certification may be helpful.
