About this role

We are partnering with our client, a leading player in the fasteners sector, to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer for their growing operation in Bangalore. In this permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding product quality, driving continuous improvement, and strengthening relationships with suppliers and customers as a key member of our client's team.

  • Supplier & Customer Liaison - Act as the primary link between suppliers and customers, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution of quality issues.
  • Product Quality Management - Support and implement quality processes, including blocking/releasing parts, managing blacklists, and controlling NOK products, to maintain high standards.
  • Facil Management System (FMS) - Implement, monitor, and maintain the FMS, acting as leader, promoter, and coach to embed the philosophy across our client's team.
  • Team Supervision - Supervise and manage Quality Inspectors, providing direction and coaching to ensure effective inspection and reporting.
  • Rework & Scrap Management - Manage rework activities and scrapping decisions for non-conforming (NOK) products to minimise quality risks.
  • Supplier Rejections & 8D - Create and follow up on supplier rejections and lead supplier 8D reviews and preparations towards the customer.
  • Continuous Improvement - Analyse process results (customer complaints, supplier rejections, audit findings, accidents, etc.) to define, coordinate, and support improvement actions.
  • Audit Support - Support internal audits and perform supplier audits to ensure compliance and drive ongoing quality enhancements.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience up to 12 years looking
  • Strong audit experience is mandatory.
  • OEM experience preferred, but Tier‑1 supplier background is also acceptable

Education

  • Full Time Engineering degree in Mechanical/ Industrial/ Metallurgy/ or Automotive Engineering from recognized university.
