Introduction

  • Support, coordinate, supervise or lead Petroleum Engineering Projects primarily with Production Chemistry issues for Field Operations staff but often involving multiple departments to achieve business plan targets in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Typical challenges include:
    • Mitigation of organic and inorganic scales, H2S & CO2, corrosion, oxygen, emulsions, hydrates and biological activity.
    • Optimization of fluid separation and produced water treatment systems.
    • Performing Stimulation design and Post Stimulation Job analysis for offshore and onshore operations.
    • Implementation of new technologies and initiatives to ensure high QAQC in current water flooding systems and future EOR projects.
    • Implementing technical reviews and feed conclusions into continuous improvement projects in all operations and secure cross learning across assets related to production chemistry challenges.
    • Selection, implementation and evaluation of production chemicals and monitor treatment performance.
    • Active participation in field trials thus ensuring that optimum chemical rates are being used in the fields.
    • Management of contracts to support production chemistry activities.
    • Coach and mentor younger engineers.
