Introduction

Lead the delivery of critical communications and operational technology infrastructure programs across a complex enterprise environment. This role provides technical leadership, delivery assurance and contractor oversight, ensuring communications initiatives are delivered safely and aligned with operational and governance requirements.

About this role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the delivery of critical and operational communications infrastructure programs across multiple operational environments.
  • Provide strategic direction to ensure programs are delivered to agreed timelines, priorities and business objectives.
  • Manage the performance of contractors, vendors and service providers delivering infrastructure outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership and delivery assurance across communications engineering activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, technology teams and strategic suppliers.
  • Organise and guide delivery teams to ensure work complies with technical standards, specifications and governance requirements.
  • Ensure all activities comply with change management, engineering governance and operational assurance processes.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks that support safe and successful project delivery.
  • Support the ongoing management, operation and future direction of the communications delivery program.
  • Provide reporting, risk management and delivery assurance across complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives.

Is this you?

Essential:

  • 10+ years' experience within engineering, communications or technology environments.
  • Significant experience delivering operational communications and IT services programs.
  • 5+ years' experience leading teams and engaging senior business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors, vendors and service providers.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and programs across operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of delivery governance, operational risk management and change control processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
