Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an SMP supervisor to join their team on site in Chinchilla in QLD. This is a senior position and will ensure construction activities will be executed safetly and on time. This position will be offered on a 15/13 or 10/4 roster. Some domestic travel will be required for this position.

About this role

  • Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors across brownfield and greenfield scopes, ensuring safe and efficient execution in line with HSE standards and site procedures.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and project management teams to resolve field issues, clarify scope, and provide constructability and technical support.
  • Plan, track, and report on construction progress, including schedules, daily reports, KPIs, and productivity metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, land access, cultural heritage, environmental, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Drive workforce engagement and performance through toolbox talks, pre-starts, audits, and adherence to company HR and safety policies.

Is this you?

  • Extensive experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in a supervisory role within construction/ project industry.
  • Trade-qualified with a strong technical foundation relevant to brownfield and Greenfield project execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and effective troubleshooting in complex field environments.
  • Proven track record in leading teams and managing both direct labour and contractor resources to deliver construction outcomes safely and efficiently.
  • Experienced in managing contractors in accordance with service contracts, ensuring compliance with scope, performance standards, and contractual obligations.
